As part of efforts to limit the effects of COVID-19, Avon Romania has donated 1.7 tonnes of liquid soap and shower gel to quarantine centres in Bucharest. Avon Romania will also make a cash donation to support the medical system.

These donations are carried out through the Values for Life Foundation, which recently launched a campaign to identify the needs of the health system in Romania in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and to help private companies and civil society support health care during this time. Avon Romania chose to donate soap and shower gel as the key piece of advice for preventing the virus is hand washing.

“We support local efforts to manage the current situation and to contribute as quickly as possible with care products that help maintain personal hygiene, where they are most needed: in quarantine centres and hospitals. We believe that at such times it is vital to listen to local needs and help them to be covered. Collaboration between companies, institutions and civil society is more important than ever,” said Andreea Moldovan, General Manager SEE Avon.
