Breast Cancer Promise

Ensuring everyone knows the signs, knows the risks and knows how to take action

We’ve been at the forefront of the fight against breast cancer since 1992, when the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade launched in the UK.  Over the last three decades, with the Avon Foundation for Women, we’ve donated more than US$939 million to breast cancer causes; educating 180 million people about the disease, and funding breast health screening for over 16.4 million women*.  This has only been possible with the support of our community.

Why we focus on breast health education

Awareness of breast cancer is high, but many do not take the necessary action. This is because of lack of knowledge and confidence in what action to take, and perceived lack of time and urgency. We want to breakdown these barriers with breast health education.

Breast Cancer Awareness

From checkout to breast check out

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), you can help to save lives with your beauty must-haves. We've launched a Boob Portal as part of the checkout mechanic on our local ecommerce websites, providing a crucial bank of content to inform people about breast cancer and increase awareness about early detection.

Our local Boob Portals include a collection of real-life experiences as well as essential guidance and advice on the signs of breast cancer to watch out for, and handling treatment and recovery.

From their stories, to your support

From beauty buys, to saving lives

To honour Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're also launching a range of fundraising products to raise money for our charity partners across the globe, and get more people checking their breasts and pecs.

Products include the innovative Love Avon, Cancer Care pack created with three kind to skin products especially for those going through treatment including the Caring Scalp Balm. We’re also encouraging our community to show their support for the cause with our Breast Cancer Promise Pins and turn beauty must haves from every day essentials to lifesaving products with favourites like our True Colour Ultra Satin Lipstick carrying a donation this BCAM.

The money raised supports our global Breast Cancer Promise, ensuring every woman knows the signs, knows the symptoms and knows how to take action, by funding organisations across the globe.

The money you raise supports our Breast Cancer Promise, helping people check their boobs and pecs and fund critical wellbeing workshops for those undergoing treatment.

You can shop the collection on your local Avon website. Together we can make a difference.
