Group Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, President Avon Foundation for Women
Chris Wermann is our Group Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. In this role, he is responsible for Corporate and Internal Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, and operational oversight of the Avon Foundation for Women.
Chris joined Avon in January 2017 from Home Retail Group PLC, the UK’s leading general merchandise digital retailer, where he served as Group Director of Corporate Affairs. As a member of the senior leadership team, Chris directed and led communications across the Group and Operating Companies helping to develop and execute the communications strategy to transform the business from a catalogue to a digital business. He also co-chaired a government sponsored board to drive digital engagement in high streets around the U.K.
Previously, Chris was European Director of Corporate Affairs for Kellogg’s, where he was responsible for developing and leading the corporate affairs strategy for Europe. In that role, he completely realigned the European CSR programs to fit business and stakeholder needs.
Chris helped to lead Kellogg's global response to the World Health Organisation's challenge on obesity and health, including being the first to launch a new nutrition labelling system, new children's marketing guidelines, and food innovation commitments.
Chris holds a BA with Honors from Bath Spa University.
