Avon: For Women
Creating a better world for women, which is a better world for all
For 135 years we’ve been creating positive change for women. In the years since Avon was founded, there has been considerable progress in addressing the inequalities that women face. Nonetheless, inequality, discrimination and limiting stereotypes remain widespread. Gender inequality – in health, in education, in political representation, and in economic participation – persists.
Too often, women and girls are not able to achieve their potential and face worse outcomes than men.
We’re calling for that to change.
Freedom to earn
We were founded to provide an opportunity to earn and learn – bringing economic freedom for our Beauty Advisors so they can shape their own future. We carry this spirit with us today, supporting women across the world to build their own business.
But there’s still more work to do, millions of women and girls are unable to fulfil their dreams due to economic, social and political barriers, or simply because of their gender.
Find out more about the initiatives we are implementing to support women's freedom to earn.

Beauty democracy
As a beauty company, we’re democratic. We believe in inclusive beauty that is open and accessible to all. We’re here for everyone.
We support self-expression by challenging stereotypes, supporting freedom of expression, and representing a wide range of people.
Breast Cancer Promise
Ensuring everyone knows the signs, knows the risks and knows how to take action to protect their breast health.
With the support of the Avon Foundation, we’re committed to a multi-year pledge educating and promoting awareness about breast health: the Breast Cancer Promise.

End Violence Against Women
Violence against women is an epidemic: one in three women worldwide will experience violence or abuse in her lifetime. Intimate partner violence does not discriminate, and it can affect anyone; regardless of income, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, or religion.
With the support of the Avon Foundation, we are committed to speak out about gender violence, through the End Violence Against Women programme, because silence hurts.

Avon Foundation for Women
Many of our programmes and initiatives addressing issues that predominantly affect women are supported by the Avon Foundation.
Since its inception in 1955, the Avon Foundation has promoted and aided charitable, scientific, educational, and humanitarian activities, with a special emphasis on activities that improve the lives of women and their families.

My story matters
In a world where we are still a century away from gender equality and only a quarter (24%) of people heard, read about or seen in newspaper, television and radio news are women … we need to hear more from women.
That’s why we've created a digital gallery of stories celebrating stories from our communities around the world. Stories of strength, grit, determination, stories of overcoming barriers to achieve what they, or someone else, never thought possible. And not just the big things but the small achievements every day.
We’re redressing the balance by sharing stories of women – and their champions – across the world. Every story chips away at the barriers holding us back. Every story rewrites the future. Every story is someone else’s inspiration.
Whoever we are, whatever our gender, we can stand together to make change. Because we believe a better world for women is a better world for all.

UN Women’s Generation Equality
We believe in an equal world for everyone and a better world for women. That’s why we support UN Women’s Generation Equality campaign to realize women’s rights for an equal future. Join us in speaking out for Generation Equality.
