The Equal Futures Fund: Working toward a world free from violence
Building on Avon’s 25 year legacy of helping to end violence against women and girls, and a shared belief in the power of prevention, support and systemic change, the Equal Futures fund, facilitated by NO MORE, is the next step in our commitments.
Through targeted contributions of up to $50,000 per country supporting communitive led initiatives in 12 countries, the fund seeks to address gender bias, advance gender equality and create a safer, more equitable world for all.
Globally, nearly one in three women will experience violence in their lifetime. This isn’t a distant issue. It’s a crisis impacting individuals, families, workplaces and communities in every country.
Preventing violence means addressing what enables it and gender bias remains one of the most significant yet overlooked barriers to progress. It shapes assumptions, limits opportunities, and as UN Women affirms, “violence against women and girls is rooted in gender‑based discrimination, social norms that accept violence, and gender stereotypes that continue circles of violence,” underscoring how deeply ingrained gender bias is and serves as one of the key precursors to gender‑based violence*.
Studies show bias forms before the age of nine, is reinforced across a lifetime, and remains deeply entrenched. And even today, nine out of ten men and women across the world hold fundamental bias against women and despite decades of advocacy, a UN report shows no meaningful progress has been made in reducing gender bias in the last ten years**.
Together, we will:
-
Dismantle bias and advance equality: Challenge unconscious bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, addressing gender alongside other forms of oppression.
-
Create safe, inclusive spaces: Support trauma-informed services, survivor resources, and initiatives that promote dignity and safety for all.
-
Empower communities and education: Build the capacity of individuals and grassroots groups and promote inclusive education that challenges harmful norms.
-
Strengthen institutions and representation: Invest in gender-responsive organisations and encourage diverse, stereotype-free portrayals in media.
-
Drive systemic change and innovation: Support advocacy, policy reform, and new solutions that tackle the root causes of gender inequality.

Kristof Neirynck Avon CEO says: “Gender bias has silenced voices and limited women’s potential for too long. I’m proud of our history, supported by our community of Representatives, customers and employees, in raising awareness, speaking out against gender based abuse and empowering each other to know how to seek support. Through the Equal Futures Fund, we’re committed to supporting local organisations to drive positive change and address gender bias and inequity head on. Alongside this, our internal policies and Allies Against Abuse network are available to support any employee when requested. Together, we’re building a future where everyone can thrive.”
Pamela Zaballa NO MORE CEO says: “NO MORE is proud to partner with Avon on this critical effort to dismantle gender bias and prevent gender-based violence. By fueling honest conversations, increasing awareness of existing biases and discrimination, and investing in community education, we know this initiative will drive lasting and meaningful change. It is imperative not just for women and girls, but for everyone to live in a more secure respectful, and prosperous world.”
