On 8 March, International Women’s Day, Avon Brazil is hosting its annual ‘Speak Out Without Fear’ forum, sponsored by UN Women.
The event, held at Centro Cultural São Paulo, is expected to attract more than 600 guests and the agenda is focused on the issues and challenges facing women in today’s society. The unveiling of Avon’s new global #Stand4Her campaign celebrating young female change makers is the highlight of the agenda – watch this space!
Avon is committed to helping to end violence against women and girls and this is reflected in the event’s agenda. The research project “Voices of the Internet: What can they do to end violence against women” will be shared and will provide an overview of the debate around gender violence online. The research, which was conducted over two years, will offer insight into what can be done to prevent and intervene in this kind of violence.
Keynote speaker Adam Kahane, a world-renowned expert on systemic transformation, complex situations and conflict resolution, will be talking about his latest book “Collaborating with the Enemy: How to Work with People You Don’t Agree with or Like or Trust”. The book argues that we need a new approach to collaboration that embraces discord and experimentation instead of focusing on pure harmony.
The programme also includes many high profile contributors including Maria Fernanda Ceravolo, creative director or Google, Luiza Brunet, model and actress and HBO Brazil.
