Avon Colombia wowed fashion fans in July as the official make-up artists at Colombiamoda 2018, one of Latin America’s most recognised fashion week events.
The event brought together around 60,000 attendees including fashion entrepreneurs and industry experts, national and international media, for a host of runway shows highlighting the latest trends.
Avon make-up artists created the latest looks using products from the mark. and Avon True ranges, with mark. Epic Lipstick particularly taking centre stage. Models showcased a selection of more than 200 looks that can be created with the Epic Lipstick shade palette. Charlie Green, Avon Colombia’s mark. ambassador, was also on hand to share Avon's take on the latest make-up trends with the media.
The team also took the opportunity to shine light on Avon’s Promise to Help End Violence Against Women and Girls. Avon Foundation for Women Colombia and renowned Colombian designers, Diego Guarnizo and María Luisa, presented the "Purificación" collection. The powerful collection for men and women was designed as a tribute to women who have suffered abuse, and to gain support for the elimination of violence against women.
The collection is sold though Avon’s Representatives in Colombia in a special brochure, with all funds going to Avon Foundation for Women Colombia.
A press conference was hosted after the catwalk show, including inspiring speech from Natalia Ponce de León, a Colombian woman and crime victim who successfully campaigned for a law targeting perpetrators of acid attacks in Colombia. As further commitment to the cause, the Avon Foundation for Women in Colombia also donated over $170,000 to the Natalia Ponce de León Foundation, to support an educational programme to prevent violence directed at young people
