My favourite thing is that I get to do my own schedule and plot my own success.

Liz Manalansan has been passionate about Avon for as long as she can remember. “My mother has been with Avon even before the company was named ‘Avon’ here in the Philippines, so at an early age I was already helping her out,” laughs the married mum of one.
This experienced inspired her to become a Representative herself. “My favourite thing is that I get to do my own schedule and plot my own success,” she says. “It’s only through personal commitment that an Avon Rep will be able to achieve her goals.”
When her daughter was just a year and a half old, Liz was diagnosed with breast cancer. “I was so scared when I found out, more for my daughter since I didn't want her to grow up without a mother,” she remembers. “But after being scared, I listened to my doctors, had the church back me up with prayers .... I decided to fight the disease.”
Liz had a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, radiation treatment and took tamoxifen for five years. “I am done with everything long time ago. I just need my annual check up and physical test. Every year, while waiting for my laboratory results, there is still fear .... but I fight it with the word of God. And thank God, every year, the Lord is confirming my healing,” she says.
Liz says that cancer taught her to appreciate life. “I learned to live my life well while here on earth because we do not know how long we have,” she explains. “That is why I am thankful with being affiliated with Avon that I get to earn decently and prioritise my schedule for my family.”
Her advice to other women who are worried about cancer is to see a doctor if they have concerns. “No matter how scared you are, you need to go to the doctor and find out what kind of lump you felt in your breast,” she says. “Being diagnosed with breast cancer is not a life sentence .... I am with you in hoping and praying that it is benign. But in case it’s not, then you need to start with your healing journey RIGHT NOW.”
