Avon Romania is launching new virtual reality recruitment events across the country later this year following a successful pilot to support new Representative growth in urban areas across the country.
The concept was trialed as one of six shortlisted ideas put forward at an annual companywide hackathon, where employees were invited to pitch innovative ideas for growth across Romania’s biggest cities. The six shortlisted ideas received a budget of $15.000 to pilot the concept, before presenting the results to Avon Romania’s top management team.
The winning idea, Avon Virtual Reality events, was chosen based on idea feasibility, event results, scalability and creativity.
The pilot virtual reality events took place over three days. Around 200 people who visited the event were invited to experience being an Avon Representative through a virtual reality headset. More than 15% of attendees signed up to be Representatives as a result of the event.
Following this successful pilot, the idea is due to be rolled out across the top ten cities in Romania later in 2018.
