Avon Hungary is helping boost visually impaired women’s confidence, with the help of Hungarian Paralympian Zsófi Lengyel. Together, they’ve made make-up training tools, and redesigned a capsule collection of Avon make-up, specifically designed for help visually impaired apply make-up easily and safely.
Zsófi, as well as being a Paralympian, is a member of the Hungarian Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted. She features in the new step-by-step make-up video tutorial, which has already clocked up over 51 thousand views.
In the video, she demonstrates how to create a simple, casual look using the specially-designed make-up kit, featuring bespoke make-up tools. Every aspect of the kit was considered in the design process, to make sure it’s user-friendly for visually impaired people – right down to the shape of the mascara brush.
Avon Hungary also challenged 15 top bloggers to take part in a make-up task. They had to apply their make-up using a blurry mirror, designed to replicate what visually impaired women experience when applying their own make-up.
Avon Representatives have been educated on the new make-up, so they can demonstrate it to visually impaired women, and support them in the ordering phase.
With over 218,000 people registered as visually impaired in Hungary alone, Avon is thrilled to be able to make a difference to so many partially sighted women.
