Sao Paulo’s Pride Parade sees Avon join millions of people celebrating diversity, inclusion and empowerment

On 23 June, Avon Brazil joined one of the largest Pride parades in the world, as millions of people took to the streets of Sao Paulo in celebration. A public commitment to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people (LGBTQ+), Avon was centre stage with a huge float featuring hundreds of associates, interactive screens, banners and lots of Avon giveaways for the crowd.Central to Avon’s mission to democratise beauty is offering equal, fair and responsible opportunities to everyone.

In support of Pride Month, which is celebrated in June across the globe, Avon Brazil also launched a social media campaign to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and show its support for individual freedom of expression. You can follow the campaign on Avon Brazil's Instagram page , which profiles a number of prominent Brazilian personalities talking about how they have ‘faced up to’ society by breaking down some of the norms traditionally associated with the concept of beauty.


Avon has a long history of supporting diversity and has made a formal commitment with the United Nations (UN) to combat discrimination of LGBTQ+ in the corporate environment worldwide. In addition, Avon is proud to adhere to the UN Standards of Business Conduct , which includes a set of guidelines developed to engage the private sector in the fight against LGBTQophobia, through efforts against discrimination in different contexts - workplaces, supplier markets and the communities where employees, clients and business partners live.
