Avon’s Pink Light Project reaches 337 million women with breast health education

As Avon reveals stand4her, a global programme to improve the lives of 100 million women every year, just-in figures reveal that its Pink Light Project to educate women about breast cancer reached 337 million women worldwide during Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2018, smashing its annual target by an incredible 237%.

The Pink Light Project is a global education campaign, developed in association with Cancer Research UK to deliver the Avon Breast Cancer Promise pledge to help women globally know the risks, know the signs and know how to take action. Thanks to the astonishing efforts of Avon’s millions-strong network of women around the world – associates, Representatives and customers – in spreading the word, the message reached 337 million women.

Despite this amazing achievement, Avon’s commitment to making sure no woman is left in the dark about breast cancer doesn’t stop there. The company has been committed to supporting the causes that matter most to women for over six decades and that commitment to helping women lead safe and healthy lives continues with its latest global initiative stand4her.

stand4her is Avon’s global response to the barriers still holding women back in today’s society. The business plans to improve the lives of 100 million women a year by advancing their earning potential through the power of beauty, giving them the opportunity to live a safe and healthy life.
