A new partnership to supply sanitising solution to São Paulo
Avon and Natura in Brazil have partnered with Usina São Martinho to provide 15,000 kilos of alcohol gel and 150,000 litres of alcohol in 70% sanitiser solution to the São Paulo State Health Department to help tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
Usina São Martinho, one of the largest sugar-energy groups in Brazil, is providing ethanol produced by its sugar mills to the Avon factory in Interlagos, São Paulo, to be processed into sanitising alcohol gel and solution.
The products will be donated in 750ml containers for use at public medical centres and hospitals across the state of São Paulo, currently the epicentre of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil.
Avon and Natura will together donate 2.8 million untits of soap to communities surrounding our operations in Latin America.
