Avon Poland has a long pink summer educating women about breast cancer awareness

Avon Poland partnered with popular TV channel, TV Polsat, for #RóżoweLato (#PinkSummer) - a roadshow of music events across the Polish coast, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Avon’s support of breast cancer causes in Poland, and raise awareness of the disease and its prevention.

The series of seven events spanned two months across the summer, combing music and beauty with life-saving education about the signs, symptons and prevention of breast cancer.

Examination rooms at each event even gave attendees the opportunity to receive a free ultrasound examination.

Barbara Goździkowska, General Manager of Avon Poland commented: “Our Pink Summer events were designed to reach young women with important educational information about breast cancer. We have insights that women in Poland are afraid of breast examinations because of the fear of cancer, so we wanted to present prevention as part of women’s everyday lifestyle and not something to be scared of.”

The events were supported by a website with supporting educational videos and an online app to help women easily count down the days to their next examination.
