Following a successful pilot in Delhi, a new training initiative aims to increase the number of beauty businesses being set up across India.
The new academy, which was officially launched in June is an initiative aimed at supporting Avon’s beauty entrepreneurs to grow their businesses using peer-to-peer knowledge sessions. The events also target potential newcomers to Avon and during the pilot phase, a staggering 50 percent of participants started their own beauty business as a result of the event. The hope is that with an increased number of events in multiple locations, this will grow even further, supporting increasing numbers of entrepreneurs across India.
With education and support being critical success factors for starting a business, Avon India has centred its efforts around large-scale recruitment events. Taking place in just one day, Sales Leaders are trained in the morning, and then invite guests to join them in the afternoon to introduce them to the Avon opportunity themselves.
In addition to the knowledge sharing, there are also product showcases, demos and trials. Participants also share testimonials and Avon hosts recognition for some of its guests.
A further seven academies are planned to launch this month, with a target of 15-20 events per month by October, in eight cities across India.
